The MIWE expo goes to show you: exchanges and inspiration are possible even in times like these

After a total of four event blocks, our assessment of the MIWE expo has been very gratifying. An in-house exhibition can be successfully carried out even in compliance with all the Corona requirements. There are certainly enough companies that gratefully took advantage of the opportunity to personally obtain information directly from the manufacturer on site, to be inspired, and to exchange ideas with one another. The feedback from the participants was consistently positive and many explicitly praised the much calmer and more concentrated atmosphere as compared to conventional trade fairs, which allowed for detailed discussions on specific projects.

Together with renowned partner companies (IREKS, DIOSNA, Rheon, Hübner Energie Consulting and the provider of coffee concepts for bakeries Karl), we welcomed interested visitors from the industry to the MIWE live baking center (LBC) in Arnstein every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 20.09.2021. In the fully equipped demonstration bakery spanning 1,600 m² of floor space, we offered what can unfortunately hardly be realised at any conventional trade fair. That includes insights into the entire manufacturing processes of a wide variety of baked goods, from dough making to bakery refrigeration to in-store baking, including the opportunity to compare different process methods. On top of this, in addition to a series of specialist presentations (including modern forms of long-cycle proofing and automation solutions), there was also a world of information on new trends, developments and processes, not to mention hot topics such as energy management and digital services.

The tours of the premises, during which visitors were able to take an impressive look behind the scenes and experience production first hand, proved to be a very popular event. The complete range of products was very well received by the visitors and many of them enjoyed being able to obtain comprehensive information without having the pressure of appointments and long walking distances. They were also grateful for having enough space and time for more in-depth discussions, where MIWE baking masters and experts from the specialist departments could also be consulted in addition to specialist advisors.
