Thousands of visitors from near and far, an exhibition on the company's history, insights into production, open factory halls with many opportunities for direct exchange about bakery technology or career opportunities, and of course the MIWE live baking center in action – the Open Day marking the company's 100th anniversary was a smashing success.
There was a lot of hustle and bustle at the Arnstein site on 21 July, and that's because there was something to celebrate: an Open Day marked the highlight of our anniversary year. Many interested visitors had the unique opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes and learn first-hand how a medium-sized company has managed to work its way up the world market. Employees got up to speed on current trends in baking technology, digitalisation in the bakery and branch and, of course, about the many professions of those who are behind MIWE's successful products. At the MIWE Training Day that took place at the same time, pupils from the Main-Franconia region were able to inform themselves about the training and career opportunities offered at MIWE. Trainers and the company's 75 trainees were on hand to answer questions and give a vivid account of what it means tolearn and work with a world market leader.
In the MIWE live baking center the master bakers let the visitors look over their shoulders at work, while professionals gave tips on baking and snack preparation in the baking studio. An exhibition took the visitors on a short journey through time covering 100 years of MIWE in Arnstein and the world. And factory tours offered a look behind the scenes, allowing visitors to experience the production of ovens up close and step by step. It goes without saying that there was plenty of fun and games for the little ones and that all visitors were offered a culinary treat, as well. Pictures from the event can be found here.
