The MIWE thermo roll-in closes an important gap in the portfolio for committed thermal oil bakers. It combines the well-known strengths of the MIWE roll-in with a heating method that can be systematically expanded – from deck and trolley ovens to convection ovens.

Thermal oil, briefly explained

Thermal oil is a heat transfer medium that supplies energy centrally and distributes it precisely inside the oven – consistently, evenly and in a controlled manner.

The thermal oil principle involves heat being transported via a circuit as a heat transfer medium, rather than being generated 'selectively' in the oven. The MIWE thermo-static features a primary circuit (from the boiler to the oven) and a secondary circuit within the oven itself. The energy supply is regulated via a 3-way valve. As is typical for thermal oil systems, the temperature is measured in the oil rather than in the baking chamber. While that may sound straightforward, it is the key to reproducible processes: stable heat input, even distribution and controllability that hold up during shift work and under fluctuating loads.
