Romanian delegation stopping by at MIWE

From 16 to 21 May 2010, fourteen bakers from Romania were see for themselves the latest technology and current developments in the baking industry in Germany. Their programme included plant visits at Bavarian manufacturers where the participants were shown the different machines and processes in practice. Moreover, the visiting experts visited the MIWE "Technikum" (technical centre) in Arnstein where baking demonstrations were given in which they could experience the different oven technologies, dough processes and refrigeration processes for themselves.

As part of their round trip, the delegation of bakers from Romania made a visit MIWE in Arnstein on 19 May 2010. After introducing the company, its history, its development and also the entire MIWE portfolio covering the four business areas, Daniel Albert, Sales Manager MIWE, took the participants on a tour of the production premises. In the afternoon, the experts had the chance to experience for themselves the advantages of the MIWE systems, especially of the MIWE econo and MIWE condo shop ovens. Applications engineer Mathias Schmitt performed different baking processes on the systems for the purposes of comparison and explained the differences in oven technology, the different dough processes and the long dough process.

"The participants' feedback was positive without exception and the interest in the topics in the presentations was extremely high. You could see this in the many technical questions that they posed during the event itself and during the evening social programme", Thomas Vollmuth says summing the event up.
The participants were invited through the "Bavaria - Fit for Partnership" promotional programme of the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology to come on a round trip and visit Bavarian companies in the baking industry. The visitors were mostly directors or engineers from medium-sized bakeries who are planning to make short and medium-term investments in production.

Background to the "Bayern - Fit for Partnership" programme
Bavaria supports the marketing and sales activities of Bavarian companies with specific training programmes. As part of a scheme initiated by the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, "Bayern International" has been making foreign partners from government and economic institutions "Fit for Partnership" since 2004. Experts evaluate the business prospects for Bavarian companies and then find decision makers from interesting target markets and bring them to Bavaria. The focus is particularly on countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. By taking part in the events and round trips, international government and economic experts and managers receive practical training on specific topics and can exchange their experiences directly.
